Is DirectAIR® the best compressed air solution for our plant?
If you answer yes to 3 or more of the following questions, then DirectAIR® is the right solution for your organization:
- Is 100% reliable compressed air critical to your plant’s operation?
- Is your current compressor system extremely inefficient?
- Are you facing a large compressed air related capital investment?
- Are you experiencing excessive compressed air related maintenance, repair and rental costs?
- Is poor quality air causing production downtime and/or high scrap costs?
How long is the DirectAIR® agreement?
DirectAIR® is a fee for service agreement. There are NO upfront capital costs for equipment and the agreement term is for 24 months. At the end of any 24 month period, you can choose to allow the agreement to renew for another 24 months or terminate the agreement for a fee. Unlike other fee for service agreements, DirectAIR® actually goes down in price after the fourth renewal!
What happens if our air demand changes (more or less) while using DirectAIR®?
If your plant ever needs to add or subtract capacity, DirectAIR® can be modified as needed. Our modular design allows us to easily add or subtract equipment so that you will always have the right amount of capacity. This is one of the greatest benefits to DirectAIR®. You will never buy equipment that you will not use in the future or need to worry about costly capital outlays if additional capacity is required. Air Technologies® is committed to making sure our customers are using air correctly and efficiently. We will proactively help our customers continue to find ways to reduce air consumption. References are available verifying our commitment to our customers upon request.
How much redundancy is built into the DirectAIR® system?
Sites are engineered with enough redundancy to guarantee 100% uptime. This is typically an N+1 configuration. The real key to our unmatched reliability is the continuous monitoring of the DirectAIR® systems by our compressed air experts and the relentless focus on preventive and predictive maintenance, which is performed by our highly trained technicians. To date, DirectAIR® has provided 7 million hours of reliable operations to the facilities we serve.
How is DirectAIR® billed?
DirectAIR® is billed very similar to your electric bill. There is a “Demand Charge” component which is based on the size of the installation and a variable “Usage Charge” which is proportional to your air usage (how many MCF or 1,000 cubic feet you require).
Can I really save money by converting my old compressed air piping to aluminum piping? How?
Yes. Traditional materials will leak and oxidize over time, reducing the efficiency of transporting compressed air. Aluminum systems offer a leak-free, corrosion resistant system backed by a 10-year warranty. We can provide a complete analysis of your piping system, including ROI calculations to help you decide if aluminum piping is right for you.
What is the availability of the aluminum piping products?
We carry an extensive inventory of pipe and fittings at all Air Technologies® locations. We can have parts same-day in stock, and if needed, we can pull parts from Parker’s central warehouse in Louisville, KY.
I am not exactly sure how to design and optimize my piping system. Do you provide this service?
Yes. We will be glad to provide free advice and system design to optimize your compressed air piping system. In some cases, we can even provide a 2D isometric layout of your proposed system complete with ROI information on energy savings.
Do you do piping installations?
Yes. Not only will we help you design your aluminum piping system, but we have full installation capabilities in every region. Our installation technicians have been formally trained by the manufacturer in installation best practices for aluminum systems. We have over 12 years experience designing and installing aluminum piping systems.
