Air Technologies^® is a total industrial solutions provider, representing the most successful global brand, Atlas Copco. We are North America’s largest independent compressor distributor and service center, and while bigger does not always mean better, we have never lost sight of our customers. We use our success to reinvest in the things that matter most to our customers and our talented associates who serve them.

Nearly 60 years ago, we set out on our mission: To have our customers’ choices enable us to become the dominant compressed air systems and services supplier in every market in which we choose to do business. We do this by helping each customer achieve their mission through our committed, focused and capable associates; working with like-minded suppliers and guiding our decision by shared core values.

Serving New Customers

Our business strategy includes acquisitions with other companies that share our core values. In February 2018, we acquired Compressed Air Systems, LLC, a south Louisiana compressed air company headquartered in Lafayette, La. With offices in three locations — Lafayette, La., New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La. — the company provides air compressor equipment and services to companies in various industries, from offshore drilling and production to marine, chemical plants, refineries and industrial applications.

Ohio Transmission Corporation

Air Technologies^®is a part of the Ohio Transmission Corporation along with our sister company, OTP Industrial Solutions. OTP is one of the largest, most successful and professionally managed independent distributors and service centers of industrial equipment and systems for fluid power, pumping equipment, power transmission, motion control, electrical, automation and safety distribution needs.

David Darrow

In 1963, David Derrow moved his young family from New Jersey to Columbus, Ohio, where he built a thriving company now known as Ohio Transmission Corporation, a company he co-founded with his business partner, Phil Carstens.

David Derrow instilled the values that remain the foundation of how Ohio Transmission Corporation works for its customers, suppliers and other associates. He had a great impact on those within OTC as well as the broader distribution world.

In the 1960s, Ohio Transmission Corporation had six employees and today has 37 locations throughout the South, Southeast, Midwest and Northeast regions, along with 16 service shops and has a workforce of more than 900 employees.

In addition to being a leader of industry, David Derrow was active in serving the community, serving as president of the Columbus Jewish Community Center and president of the Columbus Jewish Historical Society.
